Made in Italy, Verified

Every product on this site is made in Italy. Not "Italian-inspired," not "designed in Italy and made elsewhere." Made there, by a workshop we can name.

How we verify it: before a piece is listed, we confirm with the maker or importer where it was produced and keep that confirmation on file. Each product page states the region and, where the workshop allows, the name of the studio.

Where our pieces come from:

Deruta, Umbria: hand-painted majolica ceramics, a tradition dating to the 13th century. Our dinnerware, serving pieces and decor are painted and fired by family workshops there.

Vietri sul Mare, Campania: the bright, Mediterranean ceramics of the Amalfi coast.

Murano, Venice: hand-blown glass lighting from the island's historic furnaces, wired and certified for US homes.

Tuscany: vegetable-tanned leather from the tanneries of the Florence region, worked into trays, desk accessories and seating.

Northern Italy: accent furniture from the workshops of Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli, the heart of Italy's furniture industry.

If you ever have a question about where a piece was made, ask. We will tell you.
